Hey, that's not fair. If they lose their unlawful dismissal case because of the difficulty of proving the matter and have to pay costs it will be at least 20 baby bonuses...
I just love the whole 'illegal to sack people because of race/pregnancy/etc'.
Because they'll just such them for 'incompetence' instead. And make great use of probation periods where they can let people go for no reason at all within a set period (going from 6 months to 12 months under this scheme I believe).
Its like the new line they're using in some companies. The Corporate Fit. ie you didn't meet our Corporate Fit. That's why we didn't hire you. What does that mean? We don't know. But it means we don't have to fire a sad fat bastard like you and can instead pick the hot chick with lesser qualifications.
