Xmas tips.

Hello, and welcome to Episode 1 of the unique series DDIY: Don't Do It Yourself.

Today's handy Christmas tip can help you easily turn boring Xmas always-on lights, into randomly flashing lights! All with a simple know-how!

Ingredients:
1. Always-on lights.
2. Serated knife, or cutters.
3. Duct (or other) tape.
4. Wirestrippers (or your teeth if you have completed last years 'Stripping Wires with Bare Teeth' training project.)

Step 1: Find the power cable. It should be at one end of the long chain.

Step 2: Saw straight through the cable with the knife, or use cutters.

Step 3: Bite off, or peel back both ends of the plastic shield to create a mess of bare, frayed and exposed wires on either side.

Step 4: Tape the two exposed ends back together, so that the wires are barely touching.

(Please note: YOU MAY VOID YOUR WARRANTY, AND HOUSE/LIFE INSURANCE IF YOU
CONTINUE TO STEP 5.)

Step 5: Turn the power on. The lights may either be on, off, or flickering.

Step 6: Wiggle the wires so that the taped section breaks or makes good contact, until the desired 'flashing' effect is achieved.

And you are done! Now you can have joyous flashing Christmas cheer just like the neighbours, but without breaking the budget!

And remember, don't try this at home, at work, or any other place known or unknown.
